I'm still at kion's house...spending the night here, in fact (if it wasn't immediately obvious by the fact that it's about 4:30 AM). First inaugural Toastmuffin session of the quarter...much fun, and devpreed passing out in the bathroom after having too much to drink.

That's rather unusual...#tm people usually only drink in moderation, if at all. But, it is Paul, and it was the "inaugural" debauchery, so I guess he can be forgiven this time. :)

pharkas and I had some interesting conversation about being drunk...I'm nowhere near adventurous enough to try it, certainly not if everyone else around is also drunk. I just have this thing about safety, and about not messing with my mind in that way...if something bad happens, I want to be able to deal with it in an unimpaired fashion. Especially if it involves driving.

So...yeah. I'm not at all tired, but I should probably go to bed here soon...sleepy time for the Condor.

Is there any more of this lovely anecdote that I haven't gotten, like tales of excited utterances or bodily fluids emitted while under the influence?

You've gotta help me maximally milk this on the Eastern Front. :-)

There's actually quite a bit of anecdote...but a lot of it probably isn't suitable for a public journal. :)

Stay tuned.

Dude. You're too fucking uptight. ;-)
Next time, plan it out in advance and just have a little to drink. It's possible to drink and not get drunk; being drunk isn't always the enjoyable part anyways. You'll be perfectly safe, trust me.
I agree with the part about not driving. That's baaad pie. But it's not like anything else serious is going to come up that you'll have to deal with. Try it out sometime and just enjoy it.

What? Yes, dammit, I know this journal entry is like a week old. Shut up and let me continue.

As a semi-non-drinker, I just wanted to second your thoughts on the drinking thing, not wanting to mess with your mind and all that. That's one of the many reasons I've never been drunk (or even "buzzed"). However, what Pharkas said was fairly true about one drink prolly not hurting you. At least, I think that's what he said. I forget now. Anyway, I've had a number of alcoholic drinks (I've even taken shots) and not felt anything. So, it's safe to try things, but if you're perfectly happy drinking mountain dew, don't let everybody try to convince you that you're missing out. I mean, why bother with something that 1) might not taste very good, 2) is more expensive, 3) is potentially harmful, when you're already content with what you've got? Hm, this is coming across like a lecture or advice or something, but I'm really just stating my general philosophy on the matter. Mainly because I haven't followed it very well. I've had moments of weakness where I dished out $3 for a beer or $5 for a shot or something, which I strongly regret (well, the shot was pretty good, but I'm sure I could've gotten something non-alcoholic that was much cheaper and tastier). Here's one little bit of advice: if you decide to try stuff, make sure you get it for free. Anyway, you seem to have things well under control, so I'll go away now.

No, I still don't have an LJ account yet. Shut up. I'm warning you. Shut up. Now. I've got my shovel here, and... yeah, that's what I thought. Punk.

(buy the way, those little animated eyes that keep looking back and forth rapidly on the comment posting page are REALLY FRICKIN' (can you swear on LJ? I've noticed that I never see people swear, makes me wonder if they censor or something, although that would greatly surprise me...) ANNOYING!!!!!)

Well, maybe I'll try it, several years down the road. I dunno.

Oh yeah, and...GET AN FSCKING LJ ALREADY! There. I said it.

For the record, no, you may not fucking swear in my fucking LJ. God dammit, what's with people these days? They always have to use the fucking f-word when there's no fucking reason for it! God dammit.

OK, I'm done. No, really, I'm done.
