Mouse Update

The damn critter was right out on my countertop when I went into the kitchen a few minutes ago. It then proceeded to run over and go down into the stove, and disappear. I went down under the apartment to see if I could figure out where it was going in and out, but no luck.

Shadow (the cat) followed me down, but then on the way back up she got really, incredibly spooked by something and took off. I don't think I've ever seen her that jumpy before. But she seems to be OK now that she's back inside. I wonder what it was ... I'm pretty sure we have coyotes (or something similar) up here, but I didn't see anything myself, so ... *shrug*.

I used to have rats when I was growing up.

I don't mind rodents, as long as they're not in my kitchen eating my food, leaving droppings everywhere and possibly spreading Hantavirus. If they're reasonably tame and happy (and not getting into things they're not supposed to), then they're lovely creatures.

I have a little mouse trap I can bring you. It worked for me when there was a mouse living in my apartment a while ago. Of course, now I'll have to find the thing...

I told my landlady about it/them and she went out and bought me mouse traps and whatnot. I have a really nice landlady like that.

So we'll see if I catch it before I leave for the weekend.

It has a tail, but I don't think it's USB.

So yes, I'd say it is wireless, but it doesn't use bluetooth ... it uses some proprietary protocol called SQUEAK.
