Brief Update

OK, brief update of what's been happening, in list form:

  • The car needs work, again. The brakes are now pulling to the left by about 20 degrees, which is not a good thing when you consider the fact that they've been getting steadily worse the past week or so.

  • School has been boring, but I think we're actually going to start coding in 205 soon. Yay for Java...the most oversimplified, overengineered and slow language on the face of the planet!

  • Cal Poly wants more money from me for this quarter, for some reason...it doesn't make any sense, and it's fscking annoying, but oh well.

  • Life at home is boring. I want a cat.

  • I don't feel like writing one of those wanky introspective diaries tonight...I think I've been doing a little too much for my own good lately.

  • I had to throw my cheese away, because it was incredibly moldy. I think the mold was alive and sentient...so I named it 'Fred'. But, since Fred was eating my cheese, I had to throw him out.

which is not a good thing when you consider the fact that... you drive the Grade everyday.

Get it fixed, Des!!!

We love you, and you plummeting to your death is not something we want to read about.

Don't worry, don't worry...

I'm calling the Jeep dealer in SLO first thing tomorrow morning. And I plan to be in the land of the living for quite a while...I rather like it here. :)

And actually, under normal (note the emphasis on the word normal) circumstances, putting the Jeep in third will make it heel at a comfortable 55-60 MPH going down the grade, so brakes aren't even necessary. Trust me, that's what I'm going to be doing tomorrow...

So as long as there aren't any blithering idiots going down the grade at about the same time I am, everything should be just fine.

Where have you been lately? We missed you on IRC.

I'm taking a break... p(ossi|roba)bly "forever."

There will more than likely be a post on it expounding upon the reasoning at some point soonish.

Yes please do.

I've been too busy for most of this week to pay attention to what is going on but this seems out of the blue to me. Probably because I'm a hundred miles away and most of what I see of SLO life is in IRC now but this feels like a friend just saying he's going to walk away and never call again. I hope this is not so.

I'd like to point out that maybe if you didn't slam your car into neutral everytime you went down the bugger your brakes wouldn't be getting so much of a workout. :)
