me too... the weather both today and yesterday has been excellent... but I hope we get perhaps even just one really good storm this season. Lightning would be simply gleeful.

Oh yes. Although I don't think the computers would take too well to lightning. :p

But I'm definitely all about the pounding rain/wind.

I'd love some rain right now. Much better than all the snow and ice we're inundated with over here...

eeew. That sounds really cold, and unpleasantly wet/slippery.

Especially having to drive in it, when there's half a foot of snow/ice/slush on the road and you have to keep constant attention on your driving so you don't lose control of the car...

Snow can be romantic sometimes, I suppose, but when it gets to be toward the end of January, I've had more than enough. I'd give anything for the temperature to actually be above freezing again!

That actually sounds kinda fun. ;P (Although I'm sure it does get old after a while.)

Yeah I guess it sounds fun. But when you totally lose control of the car, it's so not ;)

One day a couple weeks ago I took the smaller and less-suited-for-ice of my cars out on the highway in a snowstorm. Of course I can't stand to go slow (it's almost a physical impossibility with me when it comes to driving) so I was going probably 65...which, in a foot of slush, isn't smart. I almost did a 360 first clockwise, then counterclockwise, but somehow kept the car on the road and avoided hitting anyone else. Probably pure luck...but I've put my cars in ditches and snowbanks more times than I'd like to count, so it's like a reflex for me to keep control of the car, now.

With a Jeep, though, one wouldn't have to worry about stuff like that quite as much ^^

Well, the key in that situation is to not lose control of the car. ;)

Hah... was noticing that a bit about myself earlier tonight. I just got home, and on the way back I decided I was going to stay at normal-people speeds, because I was tired... do you think I could manage to do that? Hah.

True enough, although it's still quite easy to hydroplane (and almost hit a newspaper stand) if you try hard enough. ;P
