I have this thing ... a "body"? What am I supposed to do with it, exactly?

Climbed Albany Hill again... it's a nice hill, but it really needs to be bigger. Or I need to find a longer way of getting up there, or something.

It only took me about 15min to climb this time. I had to go part-way down and back up again to get a reasonable workout out of it. But I'm definitely more tired than last time, which is a good thing.

Need to find some upper-body work to do, though, and possibly start carrying some load so as to work my legs a bit more. Also... more than (roughly) once a week would be nice. I was intending to do something Sunday, but was busy with house-hunting and family.

Right then, I need a cookie.

Hey, thanks for the pushup link!
I thought doing 40 pushups in a row was good, but I think I'm gonna follow that to see if the program works to 100. :)

Thanks for the recommendation. That'll give me a good baseline to follow, if I want to track performance.

I've been looking for stuff beyond pushups/situps/running/hiking to do as well, so I can try new things to keep it interesting, make sure I'm working different parts of my body, etc. But those are definitely a good place to start.

A couple friends I know are into the Crossfit thing, but the big problem I have with it is one needs equipment, and that's hard to manage in an apartment. Also, I can't justify spending money if I haven't demonstrated I can keep the commitment to do it regularly.

But thanks for the pushup/situp pointers. I'll start with those and go from there.

Do pushups and crunches. Not situps.
