Scheduling Pisses Me Off

So my schedule this quarter is...better, but it still really pisses me off. It's structured such that I pretty much have no way of finding a job off-campus this quarter (unless it were just Tues-Thurs in the morning), because of the way my classes are spread out.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have to be in class by 9 AM. CPE 315 (9-11 MWF), no less ... I'm hoping I'm not getting setup for failure there. But I also know that that class will be far less frustrating at 9 AM than 317 (3-5 MWF) will be. Then I have ENGL 148 (which I *still* haven't taken) from 2-4 on Tues-Thurs.

So I effectively have to be on campus MWF all day. I technically could take off in the middle of the day to go do stuff, but there's not really enough time (4 hours) to even make it worthwhile. It wouldn't be so bad if ENGL 148 were later on in the day (like, 3 or 4 instead of 2), but... meh.

[Update: I switched ENGL to a 4 PM class, which makes clearer Tue-Thurs. This makes me marginally happier.]

It's not nearly as bad as it could be (I could be trying to crash classes after the fact, a la this quarter...), but if you look at the schedules themselves, my schedule next quarter is going to be worse than my schedule this quarter.

Ugh. School just sucks. Having to be schizoid between (contemplating) finding a job and going to school sucks.

Yes, I anticipate bitching about these issues for the rest of my school career, no, I don't see any easy way to resolve them, and yes, going to school is better than the alternative. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

So I'm thinking of moving away from LJ. Every time I glance at my ad blocker, there are an uncomfortably-large number of advertising and tracking…

It’s that time of the year again -- another year has passed, and as usual, I don’t finish reflecting on it until the first 3 months of the following…
